Col. Curtis Dosland
Curtis W. Dosland is a 2014 graduate of World Wide College of Auctioneering in Mason City, Iowa, earning the honorary title of "Colonel". He also received the certification of bi-lingual auctioneer. He continues to practice his selling in Spanish to become more proficient. Curtis has been a part of many businesses and industries throughout the years. After graduating from Calamus-Wheatland High School, he went to Northwest Iowa Community College in Sheldon, Iowa for heavy equipment operation and mechanics. After graduating, he worked for a large quarry and mining company for a few years. Curtis then went on to operating his own trucking company and continues to do so today as well as farm with his family. As if that wasn't enough, he also took a job at a farmer's cooperative as a facility manager. After a couple years of that, he decided to go to auction school and here we are! Colonel Dosland is a member of the National Auctioneers Association and the Iowa Auctioneers Association. He is also a member of the Calamus Volunteer Fire Department since 2006 (He has lived in rural Calamus his entire life) and a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Calamus.
