How to Have an Auction

Auctions are a proven strategy for estate or commercial liquidation. Let Curtis Dosland create a successful auction for you.

Plan Ahead

Creating a successful auction takes careful planning and skills that only come from an experienced, professional auctioneer. Our process ensures you have a successful auction and get top dollar for your items. Allow Dosland Auction staff enough time to prepare your items and to promote the auction. While we have been known to perform small miracles on tight deadlines, like trying to meet a real estate closing date, the auction is most successful when it is given enough lead time.

Evaluate your Inventory

Too many times we have arrived to take inventory and there is already an overflowing dumpster outside. We have often pulled items worth thousands of dollars out of the trash due to family members or employees not understanding the value of those items, or even knowing what an item is. Our walk-through helps to eliminate these issues and allows us to sell your items for top dollar.

Pick a Format

Once we have taken inventory, we will recommend what type of auction is best: live at our Grand Mound facility, on-premise, or online. Online auctions have really grown in popularity, now making them a successful liquidation strategy.

Sit Back and Enjoy the Sale

Dosland Auction provides full service auctions. Handling all the organization, day of sale work, and even after sale clean up, while you sit back and watch everyone bid for your items. All sale proceeds are delivered to you soon after the sale ends.
